* [Emma Hart (c.1765-1815), later Lady Hamilton, was a famous consort of English noblemen in the late 18th Century. Her beauty and talent at posing made her the muse of the painter George Romney (1734-1802). A print of her by Romney with a small dog in her lap used to hang in my parents’ house. A photo by my father of the interior of his grandparents’ house shows what appears to be a different portrait of her. https://photos.app.goo.gl/hstwnOnaR960Khwq2]
