Solomon Lawrence Greenamyer, youngest son of Jesse and Mary (Paul) Greenamayer, was born near Fremont, Indiana, June 26th, 1860, and departed this life at Charlotte, Mich., April 11, 1942, aged 81 years, 9 months and 15 days.
Mr. Greenamyer acquired a common school education and remained in the home until his marriage to Sarah Abigail Gochenaur, July 14th, 1886. To this union two sons were born, Jesse Weir and Hugh William.
He lived in his home community until the fall of 1895, when he and his family moved to Branch Co., Michigan. Here he lived only a few years when the home was broken up by the death of the wife and mother on March 2, 1905, leaving Mr. Greenamyer alone in the home with the care of his two sons.
In 1907 he and his sons moved to Charlotte, Michigan, and later to Lansing, Mich., where he lived the remaining years of his life.
He leaves to mourn his two sons, Jesse Weir, of Buffalo, New York and Hugh William and his wife, Bernice, of Lansing, Mich., nieces, nephews and many friends.
The funeral services were held at the Beams funeral home at Fremont, Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, Rev. Hillis L. Avery, of Fremont Methodist Church was the officiating minister. Burial was in the Jordan Cemetery.

Note: In the "Cemeteries of Steuben County, Indiana, 1990" Solomon is identified as Saul L. The parent's last name is spelled as GREENAMYRE. Sarah's maiden name is spelled as GOCHANAUR.

Solomon/Saul L. Greenamyer, 26 Jun 1861 - 11 Apr 1942, married Sarah Abigail (Gochanaur) Greenamyer, 31 Dec 1858 - 02 Mar 1905. They are buried at Jordan Cemetery, Steuben County, Indiana. Solomon/Saul was the son of Jesse Greenamyre who died 2 Dec 1890, aged 72 years, 9 months and 16 days, and Mary (Paul) Greenamyre who died 06 Jul 1894, aged 75 years, 8 months and 11 days. They are buried at Jordan Cemetery. Sarah was the daughter of Abram Gochanaur, 12 Feb 1822 - 30 Apr 1888, and Catharine (Mahnesmith) Gochanaur who died 15 May 1877 at the age of 57 years, 8 months and 9 days. They are buried at Old Angola Cemetery, Angola, Steuben County, Indiana.

Son, Hugh William Greenamyer, 08 Mar 1895 - May 1968, married Bernice (_____) Greenamyer, 28 Mar 1882 - Jan 1965.
