Sidney N. Van Doren

Fremont, Spt. 29 - Sidney N. Van Doren, 82, retired farmer, died unexpectedly at the office of the Trump Coal Co. in Clyde. In good health previously, he had gone hunting Monday. Death is thought to have been caused by heart failure although a coroner's verdict has not yet been returned.

He was born in Green Creek tp Oct 29, 1860, a son of Edwin and Zeruiah Gray Van Doren and attended schools there. For a number of years he was a member of the Fremont Light Guard band and played cornet in the orchestra of Erastus Gould. He was married April 4, 1901 to Marion Battye and spent his entire life in the Clyde vicinity.

Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Miss Dorothy Van Doren of Toledo, and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Hyatt of Bakersfield, Cal., and Mrs. Lucy Ford of Ashtabula.
