- Marriage: William OBrien on 11 Aug 1834 in Clonegal, Carlow, Ireland

- Buried: 15 Jan 1903, St. Mary's Church, Dunkirk, Chautauqua, New York
Noted events in her life were:
• Birth: Based on 1900 Census. 1900 Census states she is 87 years old but born in 1810. Her obituary states that she was 90 years, 4 months, and 4 days old when she died January 12, 1903 which would be September 8, 1812. Other census records indicate a birth year of 1815. The 1900 Census was taken on June 4, 1900. Given her birth month of September, the birth year is assumed to be 1812.
• Marriage Status: 1900 Census shows she is a widow.
• Maiden Name: Kelly: Dunkirk, Chautauqua, New York. Originally thought to be McDonald based on my sister's family tree information.
My mother then thought it was McDonnell because Mike McDonnell is buried in same plot as the O'Briens in Dunkirk, NY
Mike McDonnell 1816 - 1864
However, research of Irish baptism records indicated her maiden name was Kelly. Mike McDonnell is assumed to have been Ann's second husband but it is not known if they ever married.
Anna's death certificate resolved the conflict as it states her father was Martin Kelly. It also lists her mother as Mary Kelly. In addition, a reference to a Martin Kelly has been found for Clonagal, County Carlow, Ireland in 1798. Clonegal is the parish where baptism records were found for her children.
• Immigration: Obituary states she lived in Dunkirk 43 years, 1860. Death record also says she lived in US for 43 years.

Mary E. Lynch Gray said Anna had a child in Ireland by another man after her husband died. The child was left in Ireland when she immigrated. Her son, John, was reported to be very upset with her for leaving the child. Research indicates she may have remarried after Willim OBrien's death.
