• Military Service: From The Beckwiths by Paul Beckwith, 1891, 1775. Enlisted in the Revolutionary Army in 1775, Sells Company, Parsons' Regiment, Connecticut line for seven months. Reenlisted 1776 for one year. Reenlisted in 1777 in the sea service. He was taken prisoner during the war and exchanged.
