Born 10 December 16[81], died at Greenfield, 26 December 1742, age about 61; married Hannah Seely, daughter of Lt. Nathaniel, born 10 July 1683.
Will 21 October 1742, proved 13 January 1742/3; wife Hannah; daughters Hannah, Sarah, Rebecca, and Eunice, 10 pounds each; daughter Mary, 20 pounds; son Jacob, west part of dwelling house; sons Nathaniel, John, and James, the east half of house; wife, and sons Nathaniel and John, Executors. Distribution of lands, 26 October 1743, to the heirs of Nathaniel (one of the sons) and to James, John, and Jacob.
Jacob was baptized at Greenfield, 5 June 1726, and a week later all the children except the eldest and youngest were baptized there. The eldest daughter, Hannah, had been baptized at Fairfield, 1 April 1722.

Jacob Gray (2), according to the old records of the Greenfield Hill Parish, there entered into covenant and was baptized June 5, 1726, his wife Hannah having united with that church April 1, 1722. On June 12, 1726, the Sunday following his admission to church membership, their children were baptized, as follows, the first three being classed as adults:
Nathaniel Gray. Sarah Gray. John Gray, born 1708. James Gray, born 1710. Jacob Gray, Jr., born 1712. Robena (sic. Rebecca) Gray. Eunice Gray. Mary Gray, baptized March 16, 1728.

Also Jacob Gray desires that a committee may be appointed at sd meeting to layout ye fifteen acres of land that ye town agreed his grandfather, one of the five farmers, should have. Sd meeting to be at one of ye clock in the afternoon.
Jacob married Hannah Seeley, daughter of Lt. Nathaniel Seeley and Unknown. (Hannah Seeley was born on 10 Jul 1683 in Connecticut.)
