Earl Neild Earl "Chopper" Neild, 75, of 155 Utica Street, Oswego, died Saturday, Jan. 20 at Oswego Hospital. He was a native of Oswego. Mr. Neild was a carpenter for 50 years and had a life membership in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 747. Mr. Neild served in the Army before World War II and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Surviving are a son, Gene of Oswego; three stepsons, David and Dean Lewis, both of Oswego, and Dennis Lewis of Minetto; four daughters, Barbara Fitzgerald of Oswego, Veraa Kelly of Tully, Ronnie Sherwood of Oswego and Brenda Church of Islip; a stepdaughter, Jane Delaney of Fort Bragg, NC; two brothers, Arthur of Oswego, DeWitt of Zephyriuils, Ha.; a sister, Dora Ayotte of Brushton; 30 grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were Wednesday, Jan. 24 at Nelson Funeral Home. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. Earl married Lucille M. Hort, daughter of Arby Leonard Hort and Grace Ruth Adams. (Lucille M. Hort was born in 1919 in Pulaski, Oswego, New York and died on 5 Dec 1967 in Oswego, Oswego, New York.) |
