Gabriel Higgins went from Fairfield, Conn Greens Farms now Westport to Bedford Westchester County, NY and lived there all his life. He was ensign of militia in 1775 and lieutenant in 1778. Probably saw service in the Revolution. He was a farmer. His will dated Feb 16 1809 was proved April 24 1812 at White Plains (Liber E. p 229) and mentions four sons and four daughters.
