Obituary

Kathleen "Timmie" Sullivan Kramer Kerr, 82, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at St. Mary's Home of Erie, Asbury Ridge.

Timmie was born on November 20th, 1932, a daughter to the late Harold and Ruth Sullivan.

In addition to her parents, Timmie was preceded in death by her first husband, George L. Kramer, in 1968, and a sister, Mary Patricia Hunter.

She attended Gannon to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Science and furthered her education at Mercyhurst where she got her degree in Education.

Timmie was a Special Education teacher at Girard High School for many years and became Education Coordinator at the Shriners Hospital for Children before retiring. She loved to travel with her husband, and they spent many winters in Edgewater, Florida. Timmie also volunteered her time to provide meals to the homeless at St. Patrick's Haven through the St. Jude Church ministries.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Joseph A. Kerr; three sons, Jeffrey Kramer (Chris), Douglas Kramer (Wendy) and John Kramer; stepson, Jim Kerr (Jane); stepdaughters, Dr. Sue Kerr, Drs. Deborah Mingy (John), Beth McCormack (Mike), and Patty Berg (Bill); sister-in-law, Betty Divell; grandchildren, Jonathan (Caroline), Michelle (Eric), Matthew, Caitlin, Robert, Dan, Megan, Sam, Derek, Ryan, Bradley, Michael, Jake and Billy; as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street. Additional calling will be on Monday at St. Mary's Home Asbury Ridge, 4855 West Ridge Rd., from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m.
