Henry was a teacher at VSDB from 1858 to 1899, the last survivor of a number of deaf teachers who were his colleagues in this school, was a strikingly handsome man and one of the most graceful signmakers. His lectures while being clear and impressive. He owned "Bear Lithis Spring at Elkton, Virginia.
