Elizabeth (Lisa) Cassano

• Obituary: Erie Times-News, 4 Jun 2017, Erie, Erie, Pennsylvania, USA. Elizabeth (Lisa) Cassano Legenzoff, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 27, 2017, at Independence Court of Erie.

She was born in Erie in 1925, the daughter of the late Natale and Maria Rosaria (Mannarino) Cassano. She was a graduate of East High School.

Lisa was a stay-at-home mother while raising her children, however, before marriage she worked at Talon Zipper. There, she met her future husband of 68 years, Kenneth Legenzoff. She was a wonderful mother and baked delicious treats for her family. Later in life, she worked part time as a cook for the Sarah A. Reed Children's Center, taking a caring interest in the children. She was a volunteer for the Perry Highway Hose Company Auxiliary, and part time professional baker and cake decorator. She had fun bowling with her team of family and friends. She enjoyed doing ceramics with friends, reading and gardening.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in her death by brothers; Salvatore (Sam), Anthony (Tony), Albert, and sisters; Irene, Amelia (Lena), and Carmella (Carme).

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Legenzoff of Erie, a daughter Christine Troutman and her husband Barry Gray of Erie, and two sons, Keith Legenzoff and his wife Linda of Tennessee, and Kevin Legenzoff and his wife Terri of Missouri. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Rosie Hill, Jared Legenzoff, Zachary Legenzoff and Derek Legenzoff, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend Funeral Services there Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.
