Hannah Gray was the daughter of Lt. Nathaniel Gray and Hannah Boughton. She married Samuel Eells in April, 1791 in New Canaan, Stamford, Connecticut according to "Early Connecticut Marriages as Found on Ancient Church Records Prior to 1800"( edited by Frederic William Bailey)
Her father Nathaniel was killed in the Battle of Ridgefield during the Revolution. She named her first son Nathaniel Gray Eells in honor of her patriot hero father. (bio by: Ric Chrysler)
