Highland - Yolanda Bellacicco, 92, of Highland passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on September 8th, 2017. Born on September 30th, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, Yolanda was the seventh of nine children born to Settimo and Calogera (Randazzo) Giannone.

Yolanda grew up in Brooklyn where she worked in her family owned bakery. On October 17th, 1948 she married Leonard Bellacicco of Highland, NY at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Brooklyn.

Yolanda's life revolved around her family. After marrying Leonard, she moved to Highland where they raised their family. Yolanda's greatest pleasure in life was cooking and baking for her loved ones.

Yolanda is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Leonard, her son John Bellacicco and wife Kathy of Milton, her daughter CarolAnn Maybaum and husband Harold of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, her daughter Noreen Centonze and Husband Leonard of Highland, and son Robert Bellacicco and wife Anna of Claverack, NY. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren Eric Maybaum, Alyssa (and husband Benedetto) D'Alto , John Centonze, Christopher and Andrew Bellacicco, and Michael and Daniel Bellacicco, as well as three great-grandchildren Jack, Ella, and Aurora. Yolanda is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Yolanda was predeceased by her parents, Settimo and Calogera, her siblings Francesco, Joseph, John, Hugo, and Victor Giannone, and her sisters Concetta Newsome, Rosalie Sparacio, and Olga Buongiovanni.

Calling hours will be Monday, September 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 at Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 38 Main Street in Highland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 12th at 10am at St. Augustine's Church in Highland.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
