b. Hartford, perhaps in what is now East Hartford, in 1809, baptized
Oct. 30, 1709, son of Lieut. Nathaniel" and Elizabeth (Spencer)
Marsh, (]ohn’, John‘); m. about 1730, No. 877.

877. Irene Bigelow, b. 1711. ‘He resided in that part of Hartford which was then called the "Orford Soc.” and called later East Hartford and Manchester. A part of his property there may have been the original 72 acres alloted to John Marsh on that side of the Connecticut river about 1666. In the graveyard at Manchester are these inscriptions:

“ In memory of Mrs. Irene Marsh, wife of Ensign Daniel Marsh,
who departed this life March 27, 1790, in the 79th year of her age.”

“In memory of Ensign Daniel Marsh who departed this life
Oct. 6, A. D. 1793, in the 85 yr of his age.”

In his will he gives to “Grandson James” and to daughter Lucretia Wadsworth and “my other daughters!” Children :

880. Jessee, b. 1736 or 7; m. Lucy, 1674
881. Elizabeth, b. 1736 or 7 ; m. Joseph Olcott,

883. James, b. 1746; in. Mary, 1680.
884. Irene, b. 1752; m. Lieut. Nathaniel Olcott, 900.
885. One of " my other daughters " for " Cate " and Irene died before his will.

Daniel married Irene Bigelow about 1730 in Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut. (Irene Bigelow was born in 1711 and died on 27 Mar 1790 in Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut.)
