• Family History: From John Huntley of Lyme Connecticut, Ivy Huntley Horn, 1953, Page 57. JOHN HUNTLEY (Joseph John, Aaron, John.) born 1729 Lyme, Conn. died 1768 in Columbia Co., N.Y. He married Lyme, Conn. Loas Beckwith b. July 1, 1725, dau. of Matthew Beckwith and wife Elishebau Rainer or Rayner. who was daughter of Josiah and Sarah (Higbee) Rainer. They removed to Columbia Co., N.Y. near Hillsdale about 1762.

He served in the French and Indian Wars.

His will was made July 1765 and names his wife Loas, and children Elisheby, Williams, Rainer and John, leaving the farm to Williams, and naming his wife Loas, and Joshua Champion executors. Will filed Nov. 25, 1753.

John married Lois Beckwith, daughter of Mathew Beckwith and Eleshaba Rayner, on 13 Dec 1747 in Lyme, New London, Connecticut. (Lois Beckwith was born on 1 Jul 1725 in Lyme, New London, Connecticut.)
