Miss Anastatia Kelly, a teacher In the Troy public schools since December 7, 1875, died yesterday afternoon at her residence, 708 Federal Street, after a brief illness. During her forty-three years' experience Miss Kelly was recognized as one of the steadiest and most capable teachers in the department. She taught in School 5 until it was consolidated with the Central Grammar school and was transferred there. She was a member of the Troy Teachers' Association. She attended St. Peter's Church and was a member of the Rosary Society. A sister, Maria Kelly, a teacher in School 3, survives. • Funeral: The Troy Times, Monday Evening, 21 Oct 1918, Troy, Rensselaer, New York. The funeral of Miss Anastatia Kelly, a teacher in tho Central School, was held this morning from St. Peter's Church. Mgr. John Walsh celebrated a requiem high mass. The bearers were John and William Hacrett, Thcmas S. Fagan, John Nugent, William J. Woods, Thomas Gorman, John E Healey, and William O'Leary. |
