• Family History: From The Brockway Family, Francis E. Brockway, 1890, Page 8. X. JOHN BROCKWAY, b. at Lyme, Conn., date not found ; had an ear-mark for cattle recorded 12 Feb. 1729-30. His father, in deeding his homestead to Richard Brockway, 13 March 1707-08, provided that Richard should pay 15 pounds to John Brockway, on the death of their father. He was probably the son of the first wife, but it is possible that the second wife was his mother.
