• Family History: Various Sources. ET Gray's family tree shows him ahead of his siblings, indicating he was probably born before 1795.

ET's chart also indicates he was married as it says Florence Gray has Josiah's wife's wedding ring.

Thyrza's account of her three brothers being in the War of 1812 means Josiah must have been in the Army.
