Mrs. Floyd Bettinger .entertained the members of the Ladies' Missionary society of the Baptist church Saturday afternoon at a linen shower in honor of Miss Alice Stevenson whose engagement to Raymond Taylor has been announced. The guests, thirty in number, spent an hour sewing on linen and then were taken into the yard where the gifts for Miss Stevenson were hung on a lilac tree. These were taken down and opened by Miss Stevenson. Then all returned to the house and taking their places at small tables were served to refreshments. The decorations were pink and white as were also the place cards. A delightful afternoon was enjoyed and the party broke up with congratulations to the hostess and Miss Stevenson.
