Lifelong Resident of Dunkirk and Active Church Worker - Funeral Friday

The death of Mrs. Nellie Carroll Corliss, wife of William J. Corliss of 34 Lincoln avenue occurred on Tuesday evening at 5:14 o'clock, the result of a heart attack. While she has been in poor health for the past eleven years, her death at this time was not expected, and is a blow to her family and wide circle of friends. She had been out of doors during the day, and had seemed to be quite well.

Mrs. Corliss was born in Dunkirk 52 years ago and was the only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Carroll. She was graduated from the Dunkirk High school and received a business education being a stenographer before her marriage. She was a member of St. Mary's church; of Court St. Catherine of the Catholic Daughters of America; and of Our Lady of Lourdes Society of Holy Trinity church.

Her husband, who is an equipment inspector for the public com mission, their daughter Ellen and two brothers John T Carroll of Baltimore, and Daniel Carrol of this city survive. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 8:15 o'clock at the residence and 9 o'clock in St. Mary's church.

The funeral of Mrs Nellie Carroll Corliss, wife of William Corliss, was held this morning at 8:15 o'clock at the residence, 56 Lincoln Avenue, and at nine o'clock in St. Mary's Church. Requiem solemn high mass was celebrated by the Rev, Father Alfonsus with the Rev. Father Martin as deacon and the Rev. Father Thomas as sub-deacon. Father O'Hare was also in the sanctuary. The burial was In the parish Cemetery where the last was ________ was pronounced by Father Alfonsus.

The bearers were Robert Kario, Thomas, Egan, John Madigan, John Kornprobat, Leo Kimley, and George Till.
