Barak D. Beckwith

Many friends will be pained to learn of the death of Barak D. Beckwith, a former well known resident of, this city who passed away at the home of his sister, Miss Addle Beckwith, in Palermo yesterday. Mr. Beckwith was born in Palermo April 29,1841,and was a son of the late Dr. Addison K. Beckwith. He was a druggist and was employed in Oswego and elsewhere. Mr. Beckwith was also for several years engaged with his brother, the late James K. Beckwith, in the laundry business here and also in the management of Beach Oswego owned by James K. For the past several years his health was not robust and he lived a retired life.

Mr. Beckwith is survived by his widow, one sister and four daughters, Mrs. D. L. Waldron, Hannibal, Mo.; Mrs. J . W. MacDonald, Oswego; Mrs. M. E. McCarthy, Los Angeles, Cal., and Mrs. C. O. Rood of Michigan. The funeral services will be held at the Page Memorial chapel to morrow afternoon, the Rev. T. B. Shepherd officiating.
