Mrs. Grace Ruth Hort, wife of Arby Hort died early this morning at her residence, 213 E. Ninth St., after a year's illness.
Born in Dalton, Mass., she was the daughter of the late John and Lucinda Colvin Adams and had resided for a number of years in Pulaski.
She was a graduate of Pulaski Academy and the Oswego Normal school and taught in Eastwood for three years. During World War II, Mrs. Hort taught at the Refugee school at Fort Ontario.
She was a member of Christ Church, Montcalm Court, 90, Order of Amaranth, Lake City Chapter 352 Order of Eastern Star, Oswego, and Rising Sun Rebekah Lodge, Pulaski.
Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Earl [Lucille] Neild and Mrs. Robert [Ruth] Strong, Sault St. Marie, Mich; a son, Ensign John A. Hort at Purdue University; a sister, Mrs. Owen McNett, Pulaski, and a brother Elwyn Adams, Ogdensburg, N. Y. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 10 a. m. in Meade Memorial Chapel, Christ Church, with the Rev. John R. Scarlett officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Pulaski.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home, 154 E. Fourth St., on Thursday and Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p. m.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Ruth Hort, wife of Arby Hort of 213 E. Ninth St., were held this morning at 10:30 in Meade Memorial chapel, Christ church. The Rev. John R Scarlett, rector, officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Pulaski.
Bearers were George Hort. William Hort, Andrew Combs, Owen Currier, Arby Combs and Arthur Neild.

Mrs. Ruth Adams Hort, wife of Arby Hort, died at her home in Oswego early Thursday morning after a year's illness.
Services were held Saturday at the Meade Memorial Chapel with burial in Riverside Cemetery at Pulaski.
