• Biography: From Jonathan Waterbury Genealogy. (8) LIEUTENANT JOHN WATERBURY, second child of John (4) and Mary Waterbury of Stamford, Conn. was born there 30 October, 1682, and he died there 22 May, 1744. His title of lieutenant was gained in serving with the Connecticut Militia in the Colonial wars. He married first, 16 January, 1707, Sarah, daughter of Stephen Holmes, who died 1 August, 1709; he m. 2nd. Hannah, daughter of Nathaniel Cross, 30 November. 1710. She was born 23 July, 1687, and died 2 March, 1756.
