Poughkeepsie - Celeste Calio, age 73, of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at home in Poughkeepsie. Ms. Calio was born September 14, 1941 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late Pasquale and the late C. Jessie (Vincitore) Calio.

She was employed by City Of Poughkeepsie as a Teacher. Celeste was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School class of 1959 and the University of Albany class of 1963.

She is survived by her sister In Law, Gene Calio of Poughkeepsie, NY; her Aunt and Uncle Jane and George Scivolette, niece Shannon Decker of Pleasant Valley, NY; niece, Karen Versace of Poughkeepsie, NY; niece, Ayriel Karochmal; nephew, Kyle Versace of Kingston, NY; nephew Jorrell Versace of Mercer, PA; great nieces and nephews ; Alyssa, Bre-Ann, Brian, Isabella, Matthew, Alivia, Justin, Siearah and Erick. Celeste is also survived by many cousins.

Celeste was predeceased by her brother, Joseph P. Calio and her nephew Dale Calio.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9:30 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmel Place, Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
