The daughter of Vito Roglieri and Maria Gemmati, Catherine was born in Gioia Dal Colle, Italy on July 24, 1914. On April 24 1936, she married Frank Pennes who predeceased her on August 18, 1976. They were married at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She and Frank had one daughter, Mary Alice Gray, two sons, Victor Pennes and Patrick Panessa, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Catherine was co-owner of a local grocery store, a member of Poughkeepsie Business & Professional Women's Club and the American Association of Retired Persons.

Catherine Roglieri, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vito Roglleri of M North Bridge street, was married yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock to Frank Pennes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Patsy Pennes of 52 North Perry street. The ceremony was performed at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel by the pastor, the Rev. Joseph M. Pernicone. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin and a veil of French Illusion lace. She carried gardenias and lilies of the valley. Nancy C. Ross, the maid of honor wore a gown of pink lace and carried pink roses. The bridesmaids were Mary Ross, Josephine Pennes, Nancy Eramo, and Catherine Vincitore. They wore gowns of aquamarine blue starched lace and carried pink sweet peas. Anna Stasi, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Her frock was of white mousseline de sole, and she carried roses, sweet peas, and forget-me-nots. Anthony Pennes was his cousin's best man, and the ushers were Joseph Rubano of New York city, Anthony Pennes, a brother of the bridegroom, Cornelius Sandy, and Samuel Nichols. A reception was given in the Mount Carmel school auditorium after the ceremony. The couple will reside at 8 Morgan avenue.
