Sergeant First Class U.S. Army (Ret.) and retired Officer U.S. Capitol Police died on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at his residence in Fort Washington, MD. Beloved husband of Mary Shelton. He is survived by six children Kathy (David) Loeffler, Thomas, James (Elizabeth), Richard (Carrie), Esther, Joseph, the late Frank Shelton, 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. (VFW Honor Guard Services at 7:30 p.m.) at LEE FUNERAL HOME, Branch Ave. and Coventry Way, Clinton, MD, where services will be held Friday, July 20, 2007 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Maryland Veteran's Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Hugh Shelton/WRAMC to Fisher House Foundation, Inc, 1401 Rockville Pike, Suite 600, Rockville, MD 20852.
