• Obituary: The Charleston Post & Courier, 29 May 2014, Charleston, South Carolina. Diane H. (Wilcox) Williams PENSACOLA, FL - Diane H. Williams, 80, of Pensacola, Florida for 18 years, passed away May 23, 2014. She was born in Geneva, New York. She spent her childhood in Canandaigua, New York attending the Saint Mary's School and Canandaigua Academy. She then graduated from Fredonia College in New York with a degree in music. She taught music at Waterloo Central School and gave private music lessons. Diane married Roy Williams of Charleston, South Carolina on November 24, 1990. She then became a bookkeeper for a construction and remodeling business in Charleston, South Carolina. She retired from full-time work to travel with Roy to various assignments with the Federal Civil Service with final assignment to the Pensacola Naval Air Station, Pensacola, Florida in 1996. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Edward Hill (Canandaigua, New York); her mother, Alice Hill (Canadaigua, New York); and her son, Ross Wilcox (Charleston, South Carolina). She is survived by her husband, Roy E. Williams (Pensacola, Florida); a son, Mr. Robert G. Wilcox (Charleston, South Carolina); two daughters, Ms. Rae Bowles (Summerville, South Carolina), and Mrs. Renee Summey (North Charleston, South Carolina); three sisters, Ms. Nancy Muraco (Syracuse, New York), Mrs. Sue Quayle (Canandaigua, New York), and Ms. Kathleen McGrath (Canandaigua, New York); many grandkids and great-grandkids; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be held at St. Anne's in Pensacola on June 6, 2014. In lieu of flowers, request donations may be made to your favorite local Catholic charity.
