• Military Service: The Fredonia Censor, Thursday, Page 3, 11 Oct 1962, Fredonia, Chautauqua, New York. Lt. Robert G. Wilcox, son of Mr. and Mrs: Walter; Wilcox of Barker Street, has been promoted to captain in the Air Force, and is how stationed at Pittsburgh Air Force Base.

• Obituary: The Post and Courier, Dec 2007, Charleston, South Carolina. WILCOX, Robert Major Robert G. Wilcox, 72, of Charleston SC, formerly of Dunkirk NY, died unexpectedly on Thursday, December 6th, 2007. He was born Oct. 21, 1935 in Dunkirk, son of the late Walter S. and Dorothy {Carroll} Wilcox. A U.S. Air Force veteran of both the Korean and Viet Nam wars, Major Wilcox served his country from 1955 to 1975. After his Air Force retirement, he worked at MUSC as a facilities engineer. He was a member of the American Legion Post 1280 in Cassadaga NY, and the John T. Murray Post 1017 in Dunkirk. Survivors include one son, Robert G. Jr, two daughters, Rae Bowles and Renee Summey, of Charleston SC; one brother, Roger W. {Sheila} Wilcox of Hamburg NY; six grandchildren and three nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ross Wilcox. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, December 20th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, with internment following at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island.
