Easton:

Martha Eastwick (Pat) Carroll of Easton MD died peacefully in her residence on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at age 97.

The fourth child of the late Andrew and Estelle (Stinson) Eastwick, Pat was born at home in the Mt. Washington neighborhood of Baltimore. She attended the Baltimore Friends Schools, Westtown School and Swarthmore College. Upon graduation with the Class of 1940, Pat married the late John G. Carroll, also of Baltimore, and settled for 25 years in a home in Towson, MD where the couple raised two sons.

On a typical summer weekend, Pat would pack the family off to the cabin cruiser "Aqua Patch" for two glorious days on the upper Chesapeake Bay. Summer also included a month at Ocean City.

As retirement years approached, Pat & Jack re-established their lives on Island Creek in Oxford, MD. It was here that they enjoyed almost 40 years on and near the Bay, hosting sons and grandsons, and being a contributing part of the Oxford and Easton communities. Pat lived her remaining years at William Hill Manor.

Pat was preceded in death by three sisters; Marion E. Sullivan, Estelle E. Stephens, Dorothy E. Seaton, and a brother, Andrew M. Eastwick Jr. She is survived by sons; John G. Carroll (Ginger Corsini) of Pocasset, MA and Thomas E. Carroll (Sue Carter Hawkins) of Cape May, NJ; grandsons; Jason E. Carroll of New York NY and Ian T. Carroll (Amy McNally) of Washington, DC.

A private service will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Oxford MD. Memorial donations may be made in Pat’s memory to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403

Martha married John G. Carroll, son of John Thomas Carroll and Mary E McGuinn, in 1940 in Baltimore, Baltimore, Maryland. (John G. Carroll was born on 10 Jun 1905 in Cleveland, Ohio and died on 20 Jul 1999 in Oxford, Talbot, Maryland.)
