William Gray (2), born Fairfield, Connecticut, 1685, married 1st, Abigail Cooley, December 23, 1714; married 2nd, Elizabeth Meaker, October 31, 1716.

William Gray (2) died August 27, 1761, and his wife Elizabeth died July 6, 1772. He made a will May 5, 1759, which was admitted to probate October 6, 1761, and is on file in the old records of Fairfield.

He died at Westport, 27 August 1761.

He married (1) 23 December 1714, Abigail Coley; daughter of Samuel; she died about 1715.

Her married (2) 31 October 1716, Elizabeth Meeker; daughter of John, baptized 29 March 1696, died 6 July 1772.

Will 5 May 1759, proved 7 September 1761; wife Elizabeth; eldest son Stephen; sons Ebenezer, Jabez, Thaddeus; four sons, William. Joseph, Elisha, Joshua; two of my sons, Joseph and Elisha are now from Home and supposed at sea and on board a Man of War or King's Ship; wife and son William, Executors. A partial distribution, December 1772, was made to son William, heirs of deceased son Joshua, heirs of Joseph, and son Elisha.

At a General Assembly holden at Hartford in His Majesties English Colony of Connecticut in New England in America on Thursday the 13th Day of May ... 1736.

The petition of Jacob Gray, Isaac Gray, William Gray, Samuel Gray, Thomas Disbrough and Abigail his wife, John Nott and Martha his wife, Sarah Jackson, all of Fairfield, and Christopher Sturgis and Mary his wife, of Stamford vs. Andrew Burr and the rest of the proprietors of the common and undivided land in Fairfield, being read and the parties heard upon the same: The question was put, whether anything should be granted thereon, and resolved by this Assembly in the negative. Cost allowed the respondents is: £4 15s. 10d. Ex. granted May 29th 1736.
