John Beckwith

  Noted events in his life were:

• Birth: Based on Records of East Lyme Society. March 21, 1724/5, John Beckwith Junior and Mehittabel his wife owned ye covenant and were taken under watch of ye church (pg. 11)

The reference to him as junior indicates his father was John Beckwith. This John has been added as a son of Nathaniel to make John Beckwith who married Mehittable a junior. It is possible that this John is not a son of Nathaniel and Martha Beckwith.

There appears to be room for an additional generation between Nathaniel Beckwith b. 1656 and John Beckwith Jr d. 1740. Earliest birthdate for children of John Jr is 1706.
