Based on notes in the House Book and Quarto Book for Bluepool, Edward died sometime between September 24, 1847 and June 14, 1848. Support for this comes from the given name of Richard and Johanna’s second son, Edward. The naming tradition at the time was to name the second son after the maternal grandfather.

Edward married Ellen. (Ellen was born in Cork, Ireland and died about 1865 in Bluepool, Cork, Ireland.)
