• Family History: From Beckwith Note 6, by Albert C. & Edward S. Beckwith, 1907, Page 5. JOSEPH, (Nathaniel), inherited two-thirds of his father's estate in Lyme, whereon he lived and died. His will, (New London, Book E., pp. 390-1) made March 10, 1745-6 and filed May 10, 1746, named wife ELIZABETH and six children, of whom at that time three sons were minors.
79. DANIEL. 80. Elizabeth. 81. Eunice. 82. Nathaniel. 83. ASA. 84. Joseph.
Note: See discussion under Parents. It is believed that his father was Joseph Beckwith, not Nathaniel. If his father was Jospeh instead of Nathaniel, then a different Joseph inherited land in Lyme from his father in 1746.
Joseph married Elizabeth.
