She was first child of Capt. REINOLD MAR - VIN'S second wife, MARTHA, fifth child of Serg't THOMAS WATERMAN and his wife MIRIAM, only daughter of Lieut. THOMAS and MARY TRACY. She was married at [Old] Lyme, (by Rev. Jonathan Parsons), April 4, 1732, to her cousin, REYNOLD BECKWITH. [From a phrase in his epitaph MARTHA'S father, the third in America of his name, is now distinguished as "Lyme's captain." His 1st wife was Phoebe. dau. of Lieut. Thomas Lee.]

Children: - Martha, (who became second wife of Lieut. TRACY) and - 2. ELIZABETH, married to ROBERT WATERMAN, Dec. 9, 1633. TRACY. 1. Lieut. THOMAS of Norwich, born in 1610; married MARY widow of Edward Mason, of Wethersfield, in 1641; (and had second and third wives); had seven children born at Saybrook; an officer for service against Dutch and Indians; served for Norwich at many sessions of the colonial assembly; died Nov. 7, 1685. 2. MIRIAM, only daughter, born at Saybrook, 1649-50; married to Serg't WATERMAN in Nov. 1668. WATERMAN. 1. ROBERT, married ELIZABET H BOURNE, as aforesaid. 2. Serg't THOMAS, born in 1644; married MIRIAM TRACY in Nov. 1668; and died June 1, 1708. 3. MARTHA, born Dec. 1680; married to Capt. REINOLD MARVIN, June 30, 1709; died at Lyme, in Nov. 1753.
