Mrs. Robert C. Macdonald
FULTON-Mrs. Grace Stevenson Macdonald, 53, of 309 Cayuga street, wife of Robert C. Macdonald, Fulton High school principal, died Thursday morning in Lee Memorial hospital.
Mrs. Macdonald was stricken suddenly ill Tuesday and was removed to the hospital where her condition failed to improve, and she expired this morning.
Mrs. Macdonald had been a resident of Fulton 17 years, the family moving here from Manlius when Mr. Macdonald assumed the principalship of Fulton High school in 1929.
A native of Oswego, Mrs. Macdonald was the daughter of the late Fred and Laura Stevenson, life residents of that city. She received her education in the schools of Oswego and was graduated from Oswego High school in 1910.
Mr. and Mrs. Macdonald were married in Oswego on June 26, 1917. They continued to reside there for the next five years while Mr. Macdonald taught at Oswego High school. They moved I to Manlius where Mr. Macdonald became associated with the faculty of the High school there, where they lived until moving to Fulton.
Mrs. Macdonald was widely known, in Oswego where she had a large number of friends and relatives. She was a member of First Methodist church, Fulton, and an active member in the women's organizations of the church. She was in charge of spiritual life work in the church Women's Society of Christian Service and this past summer attended a training school at Lake View to prepare for planning all missionary education this year in the church.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Miss Janet Catherine Macdonald, member of the Gilboa schools faculty; one son, Robert Stevenson Macdonald, student at Syracuse university; and a brother, George R. Stevenson of Rochester.
Services will be conducted at 2:30 p. m. Sunday in First Methodist church, with Rev. Webster Melcher, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mount Adnah cemetery.
The body will lie in state in the church from 1 p. m. Sunday until the hour of the service. Friends may call at the home Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening.

• Marriage Banns: Oswego Daily Palladium, Friday, 26 Jun 1917, Oswego Town, Oswego, New York. Professor Robert C. MacDonald, teacher of sciences, Oswego High school, and Miss Grace L. Stevenson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick H. Stevenson, of No. 6 Varick street, were united in marriage at three o'clock yesterday afternoon at the bride's home. The ceremony was simple in form, there being no attendants. It was performed by the Rev. Jabez Stallwood. The home was handsomely decorated for the occasion. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William MacDonald. of No. 173 West Fifth street.
